Expedition Itinerary Plan

D1

Dibrugarh to Menchuka

Morning: Early morning departure from Dibrugarh at around 04.00hrs
Start your journey early in the morning from Dibrugarh . The distance to Mechuka is long and scenic, taking you through Aalo and beautiful mountain roads surrounded by dense forests and river valleys.
Upon arrival at Mechuka, check into your homestay/hotel. Relax and enjoy the peaceful charm of this hidden valley. Dinner and overnight stay at Mechuka.

Menchuka Local Sightseeing

Morning: Visit Samten Yongcha Monastery
After breakfast, visit the 400-year-old Samten Yongcha Monastery, a peaceful spiritual center overlooking the valley.
Explore Dorjeeling Village near the Indo-China border and experience the unique culture of the Memba tribe.
Walk across the hanging bridge and explore local markets.
Overnight stay at Mechuka.

Adventure & Exploration

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic riverside walk along the Siang River.
Optional activities like short trekking or seasonal river rafting can be arranged.
Spend time interacting with local villagers and learning about their lifestyle and traditions.
Evening bonfire (subject to weather conditions). Dinner and overnight stay at Mechuka.

Gurudwara & Valley Exploration

Morning: Visit Gurudwara Guru Nanak Taposthan
After breakfast, visit the sacred Gurudwara Guru Nanak Taposthan, believed to be visited by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Explore nearby alpine valleys and photography points.
Enjoy local cuisine and relax amidst the serene surroundings.
Overnight stay at Mechuka.

Menchuka to Anini

Morning: Sunrise Viewpoint
Early morning visit to a sunrise viewpoint to witness the golden hues over snow-clad mountains.
Rest of the day at leisure. Explore local cafés, markets or relax by the riverside.
Prepare for next day’s long journey. Overnight stay at Mechuka.

D6

Dibrugarh to Roing

After breakfast we head towards Tezu via Namsai. Visit the Golden Pagoda. And then we have our lunch at Digaru Eco Resort.
Spend leisure time at the river resort.

D7

Roing to Anini

After early breakfast, begin your journey towards Anini. The drive is long and adventurous, passing through remote mountain roads and untouched landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh.
En route tea and lunch stops.
Upon arrival at Anini, check into the homestay and relax for the evening.
Overnight stay at Anini.

Chigu Camp, Dri Afra Camp and Bruni

Morning: Drive to Chigu Camp
After breakfast, embark on your day trip to Chigu Camp, located around 40–50 km from Anini. The camp offers stunning views of the Dibang River and Mishmi Hills.
Enjoy nature walks and peaceful surroundings.
Later proceed to Dri Afra Camp and explore the area known for its untouched beauty.
And then we travel to Bruni, the last motorable road in that region Return to Anini by evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

Emuli Grassland / Mathu Valley

Morning: Visit Emuli Grassland
After breakfast, visit Emuli Grassland, a beautiful open expanse in Dibang Valley ideal for photography and birdwatching.
Or
Proceed towards Mathu Valley and enjoy a short scenic trek through alpine meadows, pine forests and glacial streams.
Return to Anini by evening. Overnight stay at Anini.

Anini to Dibrugarh

After breakfast, drive towards Mayodia Pass (subject to road and weather conditions). During winter, the area experiences snowfall.
Depending on road conditions and stoppages, the journey may take 12–14 hours.
Evening arrival at Dibrugarh.

  • Guests are requested to report on time at the pickup point.
  • Road and weather conditions in Arunachal Pradesh may affect travel timings and itinerary flow.
  • Valid government ID proof is mandatory during the trip.
  • Wildnest Adventures shall not be responsible for loss of personal belongings.
  • This trip involves long mountain drives and requires moderate physical fitness.
  • In case of landslides, road blockages, or natural calamities, itinerary may be modified for safety reasons.
  • Additional expenses arising due to unforeseen situations shall be borne by guests.
  • 20% non-refundable advance is required for booking confirmation.
  • Remaining balance must be cleared before or during trip commencement.
  • Guests are requested to maintain cleanliness and avoid littering in ecologically sensitive areas.
  • Cost of extension of night stay due to any kind of health issues or extreme bad weather conditions or any other unavoidable situation will be charged @10 % of total package per day.
  • Schedule of the itinerary should be strictly followed.
  • Stays will be on sharing basis respective to genders. Any solo traveller or any couple can get private room only with extra payments at time of booking
